Home | The Minish Cap | Goron's Quest

In order to obtain the Mirror Shield and the Fourth Bottle, you must complete this side-quest to let the Gorons make it to their food. In this game, the Gorons are endangered, being that there is only eight of their race left in Hyrule: one sells kinstones, six are wondering around Hyrule, and Biggoron is asleep behind the mountain at Veil Falls. To make them all appear you must do a series of Kinstone fusions to get the treasures of the Gorons.

Find The Goron

The first part is to find the first Goron. He is lurking in the southwestern corner of Lon Lon Ranch outside of a blocked cave. You must have the Cane of Pacci to jump up on the cliff and use Ezlo and the whirlwinds to fly over to the cave. Jump down to the Goron and push the rock into the hole for later acess. Now fuse Kinstones with this Goron. The fusion will cause his buddy to appear in Hyrule Town. This new Goron will sell you Kinstone Pieces for over-the-top prices, and he looks strangely familiar to the ones from The Wind Waker...

Eenie and Meenie

In the Eastern hills is a small farm that grows vegetables to supply Brocco in Hyrule Town. This farm belongs to two brothers named Eenie and Meenie. Fuse Kinstones with Eenie to give the lone Goron in Lon Lon Ranch the will to carry on trying to enter his cave. He will finally bust through the first layer, but soon will come to a new obstical... A wider wall. Now is when you need to start recruiting Gorons. To recruit Gorons, there are small pieces of walls hidden in Mole Mitt caves that require a Kinstone fusion, and you know what to do. Fusing with these "Mysterious Walls" will cause another Goron to join the team, and there are five of these walls located around Hyrule.

Trilby Highlands

The first wall is located in the Trilby Highlands. Act like you are heading to Mount Crenel, but take the bridge that goes north. Doing so will lead to a Mole Mitt cave. Explore the northern walls of the cave to run across the first Mysterious Wall, and fusing with it will summon the second Goron to help out his buddy in breaking through the wall. After this wall, they are obstructed by a four-Goron wall. Time to find two more.

The Minish Woods

Head over to Syrup's House and go down the stairs. Keep going to find another cave containing a Kinstone wall. Fusing will make another Goron join the force, but still not enough to break the thrid wall.

Mount Crenel

Pay another visit to the Crenel Hermit located on Crenel Wall. Leave his cave and enter the one located to the left for another wall. This time a fourth Goron will appear and bust through the wall when all hope is lost. They will head on to the final wall, but need two more to break this one. Also, there is a small prize for you for your efforts thus-far in the Goron cave.

Lake Hylia

Go to the area south of Stockwells home and next to David Jr.'s Resting spot. Use Roc's Cape to jump to the island on the left. The second island houses a Heart piece. Jump northeast to the next island, and north once more to find the cave. Fuse with the wall (hidden pretty good in this cave) and make the fifth Goron appear.

Eastern Hills

Just north of Eenie and Meenie's farm is the final cave. Fuse here to make the sixth Goron join the crew. He will break through and they will be happy.

Bottle and Mirror Shield

Inside the Goron's cave in Lon Lon Ranch is an empty bottle in a large Treasure Chest at the end of the cave. Fuse Kinstones with the Goron on the far right and you will wake up Biggoron. Now, go and beat the rest of the game and save after the credits. Now go back into Hyrule and climb Veil Falls to find the Biggoron. Speak to this giant and he will ask if he can eat your shield. Agree, and he will eat it. Don't buy another or anything, and just wait around Hyrule Town for tewnty minutes or so. Return to the Biggoron and he will spit out your shield. Instead of being wooden, it will be the fabled Mirror Shield.
