Forged in the fires of the most talented blacksmiths of Hyrule, these masters of the metal trade created the ultimate evil destroying weapon: the Master Sword. No warrior was worthy enough of using this blade in battle and was kept in the Temple of Time waiting for the chosen one to collect it. Only one Hylian was capable of fighting with this weapon. His name was Link and he was the one chosen to defeat Ganondorf with this legendary blade.

Zelda Freak, webmaster of Zelda64 Planet, managed to talk to the blacksmiths who forged this blade. Here is the transcript of their interview.

ZF: How long did it take you to create the Master Sword?
BLACKSMITHS: About three years.
ZF: What type of metal was used in the blade?
BLACKSMITHS: We used the strongest metal mined from the crater of Death Mountain.
ZF: Does the Master Sword have a weak spot?
BLACKSMITHS: *laughing* No it doesn't! It is 100% invincible! You can quote us on that!
ZF: All right. What are the sword's magic capabilities?
BLACKSMITHS: The Magic Spin attack and the Sword Beam attack.
ZF: Cool. Who has the sword now?
BLACKSMITHS: It's currently resting in the Temple of Time, waiting for Link to pick it up when Ganondorf becomes a threat again.
ZF: One more question before I go, will you be making another Master Sword?
BLACKSMITHS: No, because there can only be one Master Sword. Plus as I said earlier, the sword is invincible and therefore cannot be destroyed, unlike like those cheap Biggoron Swords.
